“And I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt unto the land of the Canaanite and the Hittite and the Amorite and the Perizzite and the Hive and the Jebusite, to a land flowing with milk and honey.”
The Israelites were stuck in a place of bondage with seemingly no hope of relief for 400 years. God sends hope in the form of Moses. Using Moses, God brokers the release of the Israelites. God promises the Israelites a land of milk and honey. To open the door of promise, you must have the key of belief. Faith is the key to unlock every promise of God. This hard lesson was learned by the Israelites. God had a place prepared for them, but they were not prepared to receive it. It was a place that they did not have to work for, they just had to let God work on them. If God brought them out of Egypt, carried them across the Red Sea, protected them from their enemies, provided them food and water, why would they not expect God to give them what He promised? The same is true for us. If God has delivered us from a thing, if He has carried you across your Red Sea, if he has kept you from hurt, harm, and danger, if he clothed and fed you, then why would He not give you what He has promised? The distance between what God has spoken and you receiving the promise is faith. If you don’t have the belief that God is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him, then you are just spinning your wheels. The promises of God are yes and Amen. God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? I don’t care how long it takes for the promises of God to manifest in your life, don’t lose faith! Hold on and don’t let go! God is faithful! He has not brought you this far to just leave you! Keep moving forward and watch God do exactly what He promised.
Be blessed and be encouraged!
